Research & Development (R&D) Testing

UL's R&D Testing provides electrical, flammability, mechanical, chemical, environmental, EMC, and physical testing to ASTM, IEC, ISO, ANSI, military, and other specifications.  This can include pre-certification tests to ensure that products in the design stage meet global safety standards.   In addition, R&D Testing can also be customized according to specific manufacturer-defined protocols or requirements.   These tests provide manufacturers and ODMs confidence on the quality and reliability of the products that they develop for the market.

Verification Testing

As part of our continued support to the global retail community, UL provides customized Verification Testing of products based on buyers' pre-defined parameters or specifications.  Like R&D Testing, these tests can be conducted at various stages of the product life cycle and may involve verification against industry standards or requirements.  These tests provide retailers / buyers and OEMs confidence on the quality and reliability of the products that they source from their suppliers.

Inspection & Audit

UL's Inspection & Audit services provide customized supplier audit and product inspection support based on buyers' pre-defined parameters or specifications.  These parameters may include industry standards as well as retailer-specific requirements.  These inspections and audits provide retailers / buyers and OEMs confidence on the quality of the suppliers that they work with as well as the reliability of the products that they source from these suppliers.
